The Quebec government provides all citizens with financial assistance that varies according to criteria such as age and personal and financial situation. At Aide à domicile MRC de Coaticook, we take the time to meet with you to explain how the program works and to fill out the documentation required for the program.
FAPDHS
(Financial Assistance Program for Domestic Help Services)
Basic financial assistance:
Basic financial assistance of $4 is granted to any person 18 years old and above who resides in Quebec and holds a health insurance card, irrespective of income.
Variable financial assistance:
Variable financial assistance is granted to any person 65 years old and above, as well as anyone referred by a CSSS. The amount of the assistance is determined based on income and family situation. Assistance varies from $2.63 to $21.04. The amount of assistance granted is subtracted from the hourly rate of the business, and the client pays the difference.

Tax credit
Our services are eligible for the Tax Credit for Home-Support Services for Seniors.
The tax credit may reach up to 35% of expenses paid.
To take advantage of this credit you must:
- Be 70 years old or older
- Reside in Quebec on December 31 of the year you receive services that qualify for the credit
